Christ the King Parish is able to offer a variety of experiences that help the adults in the community grow in their faith and in their relationship with God. There are opportunities for individuals, for couples, and for the community. Each week many take part in Pastoral Counseling sessions and Spiritual Direction. All are invited to take part in bible and prayer classes, marriage sessions, bereavement meetings, luncheon seminars, Blood Drives, Wisdom Workshops, Evening Prayer, Prayer groups, sacramental preparation classes. Weekly bulletins remind the parish of great events taking place in our parish and in our area.

The Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults (RCIA)

Do you know of anyone else who is looking for a church home? Several Inquirers have asked if members from Christ the King could serve as their sponsor. Would you like to be a sponsor and have your own faith deepened in the process? The RCIA is an awesome experience for those joining the church and for those who serve on the team as catechists and sponsors. The program begins Wednesday September 7, 2011 at 7:00 PM in the Parish Center.

Spiritual Exercises

Would you like some help to get spiritually fit? Have you ever wished that someone would teach you about the next level of prayer? For those seeking some guidance in their spiritual journey, Trained Spiritual Directors or “Personal Coaches” will guide you through a process of coming to know God at a deeper level. Through the use of Scripture, personal prayer and reflection you will experience yourself and God as you never have before! 3 Day Preached Retreats at Manresa Retreat Center

There are weekend Conference Retreats for both men and women. During these retreats a number of talks are given to the group. Other common forms of prayer are available like the rosary, benediction, stations of the cross, or quiet time with Eucharistic devotions. You can get away from the ordinary demands of life to get a better perspective on the deeper meaning of your life. Facilitators: Usually a Jesuit priest
Fee: At Manresa, there is no set amount charged for a conference retreat. People are asked to make a freewill offering according to their means. The actual cost is $217.00 per person.
