The Athletic Council is composed of appointed members of the parish and the Athletic Directors. The purpose of the Council is to advise and assist the Athletic Directors in matters concerning the parish and school athletic program, selection and appointment of coaches, to formulate and define athletic standards and policies, and to serve as liaison to the school and parish community.
Athletic Council meetings are at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday of the third week during designated months. If a parishioner wishes to be on the agenda and address the Council at a monthly meeting, prior written notice of his/her intent and the subject of his/her intention must be given to the Athletic Director and/or the Athletic Council chairman twelve days in advance of the Council meeting.
Christ the King prides itself on having a vast and diverse athletic program. The program is designed to be a character builder for youth. The ideals of good sportsmanship and Christianity are the overriding influence of the program.
The following is a list of sports for each season and grade level: Fall: football (5-8 boys), cheerleading (5-8 girls), volleyball (5-8 girls), soccer (Pre-K-8 co-ed), cross country (K-8 co-ed). Winter: basketball (5-HS boys and girls). Spring: softball (3-8 girls), baseball (3-8 boys), soccer (K-8 co-ed), lob ball (1-2 co-ed), tee ball (Pre-K-K co-ed).
