Both the understanding and reception of the sacraments are integral to the Catholic way of life. Realizing that the home has the most lasting influence on faith development and the sacramental
life of children, our sacramental programs heavily involve the parents.
First Eucharist is celebrated in the Spring. This is preceded by a 2 parent informational
meeting during the school year.
First Penance (Confession) is celebrated in January. A parent session is held as their understanding and involvement are crucial for a child's healthy attitude toward this sacrament.
Confirmation candidates are normally eighth graders. A program including parents and sponsors is provided. This sacrament is usually received in the spring.
These programs include all the children of Christ the King parish whether in religious education, our own grade school, special education, or other schools. We belong to and form one parish family.
