MEMBERSHIP

Are you interested in becoming a member of Christ the King Parish? We are looking forward to welcoming you into the Christ the King family! New families or singles are asked to come to the parish office in person to register. If you are 21 years old or older and still living at home with parents, you will also need to register on your own. Parishioners are asked to inform the parish office of address or telephone number changes to keep our records up-to-date. Just stop by, call the parish office, or visit our website for a registration form.

SACRAMENT OF MATRIMONY

Please contact one of the parish priests to make initial arrangements. Diocesan policy requires a six month planning period and participation in a marriage preparation program.

SACRAMENT OF BAPTISM

The community rejoices with expecting parents and offers its help to prepare for the birth and baptism of their baby. The Church extends a special blessing to expecting couples the first Sunday of each month. Those participating are asked to gather at the Baptismal Font immediately following the 10:00 a.m. Mass. Sessions to prepare parents for the baptism of their child are usually held the last Monday of each month at 7:00 p.m. in the Parish Center. Parents are encouraged to attend before the birth of the baby. Baptisms are celebrated on one Sunday of each month at 1:30 p.m. Please contact Mrs. Suzanne Marciniak at the parish office to make arrangements for Baptism and preparation before the birth of the baby.

CARE OF THE SICK AND ELDERLY

Parishioners confined to the home who wish to receive the Eucharist or a visit by a member of our ministry team are asked to call the parish office. Those weakened by age, afflicted with illness, or preparing for surgery are asked to contact a parish priest to make arrangements to celebrate the Sacrament of the Anointing of the Sick.

FINANCE OFFICE

All financial transactions, including school matters, are handled through the finance office in the Parish Office Building. Carol Richards processes all incoming funds including Sunday collections, Endowment Fund donations, Mass stipends, and memorials. Dave Dyer handles all outgoing transactions including check writing and bookkeeping functions.

BULLETIN DEADLINE

Do you have an announcement you want published in our weekly bulletin? Submit your requests through email to our bulletin editor Mimi Ugljesa by noon on Monday for insertion the following weekend.

WEATHER CANCELLATIONS

According to Christ the King’s parish policy, when the school is closed due to weather conditions all parish activities and meetings are also canceled for the duration of the day. Christ the King is serviced primarily by the Sylvania Public Schools Transportation Department. Christ the King will close or delay when Sylvania Public Schools close or delay. When a delay is announced, please be sure to continue to check your TV / radio / website because it is possible that the school status will change to “closed.”
