Pope Benedict has announced a Year of Faith to begin October 11, the 50th anniversary of the opening of Vatican II, and end on the Feast of Christ the King in 2013.
He has established 3 goals for this year:
1. To encounter the Person of Jesus Christ
2. To rediscover our rich Faith
3. To enable all of us to be credible and joy-filled witnesses to the Risen Lord, capable of leading others to Christ and the Faith
We are encouraged to pray and read Vatican II Documents and the Catholic Catechism. This year our Bible Studies will focus on the 4 Constitutions of the Council. These documents are based on Scripture and our Tradition. Classes are forming now.
You can join in at any time from September to March, 2013.
- Monday Evenings beginning September 17, 7:00 - 9:00 PM with Fr. Dominic in the Parish Center.
- Friday Mornings beginning September 14, 10:00 - 11:30 AM with Suzanne Marciniak in the Parish Center Meeting Room.
Please contact your facilitator to register for books at 419-475-4348. |

Many people have asked or often wonder, "When does the RCIA begin?" For most it begins when a person starts talking about the church and asking questions. For others it begins when someone asks them, “Have you ever thought about joining Christ the King? It is a great community of people!”
The conversations continue as we gather as a group and open this year’s RCIA on Wednesday, September 5th at 7:00 PM. If you or someone you know has expressed interest, please invite them to attend this meeting. For more information contact Suzanne Marciniak in the Parish Office at 419-475-4348.

Parish Appreciation Picnic 2012 |

Our Parish Picnic was a great success with over 1,400 parishioners taking part in this year's event. Mary Noggle and her crew served up 1,000 delicious chicken and 400 hot dog dinners, children enjoyed playing on air extreme, and families were able to meet our new principal, Mr. Joe Carroll and the seminarian who will be with us this year Mr. George Manhas. We are very thankful for all of you and our volunteers who helped to make this year's picnic a great evening for all. Stop by our Facebook page and our photo gallery to view pictures and be sure to let us know what you thought of this year's picnic by clicking here. |

The Spiritual Exercises in Everyday Life 19th Annotation
The Spiritual Exercises of St. Ignatius de Loyola -19th Annotation - are a series of prayers, meditations, considerations and contemplative practices done through a period of nine months. Christ the King offers it’s parishioners and all people interested the opportunity to experience the Spiritual Exercises.
