Christ the King School graduates
are invited to an alumni event
Sunday, April 18, 2010
12:00 noon to 3:00 p.m.
In case I have not had the chance to meet you, my name is Fr. Bill Rose, the pastor of Christ the King. I've thoroughly enjoyed coming back to Toledo and reconnecting with high school and grade school friends after an eighteen year absence from the city. I can't tell you how many times I have said to former classmates, "Where does the time go?" Have you ever caught yourself saying these exact words?
During the summer of 2009, a group of alumni from the class of 1979 gathered for Mass on Saturday during our festival weekend. Listening to their stories, sharing in memories, and laughing about their grade school days here at Christ the King got me thinking. Wouldn't it be great to bring other alumni from Christ the King together, to form a stronger connection in our Catholic Community, share stories and laugh at the antics of elementary school? Why not? After all, "time goes by so quickly!"
As a result, Christ the King is planning a reunion for all CK graduates on Sunday, April 18, 2010. Graduates and their spouses are invited to attend the noon Mass, followed by a reception with light refreshments in the Basil Goes Activities Building. Some of our current students will provide tours of the grade school in case you're wondering how it all looks like now.
Click here to RSVP so we can plan accordingly and either update or confirm our records. Since this is our first event for bringing our alumni together, we are missing addresses for some alumni. Please feel free to pass along the information to classmates or families with whom you have contact. You will also find information on our Facebook page. We would love for you to use this as a tool to connect with one another.
