On Sunday, May 2, 2010, our parish saw 87 of our children take one more step in the journey of their faith at the Queen of the Most Holy Rosary Cathedral in Toledo. Click here to view some of the pictures taken that day. We are very proud of the children and hope that this is one of many special days in their faith formation.
The Mass made history as this was the first time a parish celebrated First Communion at Rosary Cathedral according to Fr. Charles Singler, Rector of the Cathedral. The 1,200 seat capacity Cathedral was standing room only for the Mass. In years past, even though CK had two First Communion Masses, many families were unable to bring everyone who wanted to attend the Mass because of limited ticket availability. The move to Rosary Cathedral allowed for combining the two Masses and unlimited seating for families.
