Christ the King Now Offers a Funeral Lunch Program

Martha's Meals is a volunteer hospitality program that was initiated at Christ the King parish in 2009.  Our volunteers are honored to provide assistance to the bereaved family during the immediate days following the death of their loved one, making these few brief days before the funeral as helpful and comforting as possible.

Their goals are:

To provide helpful assistance in planning and serving the funeral luncheon.

To be mindful of the financial burden to the family.  Martha's Meals volunteers provide the potato/pasta, salads, vegetables, and dessert dishes, plus the coffee, tea, and paper products.  The family is asked to assume the cost of the meat products.

To offer a comfortable space on the Christ the King campus or within the community according to guest size. We will take away the worry of cleaning and hosting for a large amount of family and friends.
