Why would God become a human?

St. Irenaeus tells us the answer,

So what lies beneath our fears?

Actually, who are you NOT to be that? You are a child of God!
Your playing small does not serve the world.

so that other people won't feel unsure around you.

We were born to make the manifest the Glory of God that is in us.
