Gathered around the Person of Jesus Christ

“The Liturgy is the summit toward which the Christian life is directed and the very source of that life to begin with. It is the fount from which grace is poured over us, and it is that place to which we go for reconciliation, peace, and communion….All popular devotions and all practices that help to foster a richer and more authentic faith life are encouraged. Such devotions should be in harmony with the liturgical season and always draw people more deeply into the celebration of the sacred Liturgy.” Constitution of the Sacred Liturgy

At Christ the King various small prayer groups meet to nurture the participant's life in Christ and strengthen them in their mission to the world. “The Church takes Mary as its example and always tries to imitate her life and always seeks to give birth to the presence of Christ in the world….We honor Mary and have a piety toward her so that we can better know Christ and the whole world can be more open to receiving the grace of Christ.” Constitution on the Church

Adoration of Christ in the Blessed Sacrament has taken place twenty-four hours a day, seven days a week since the Feast of Christ the King, 1988. The Blessed Sacrament is present in the tabernacle, and people are always welcome and encouraged to stop by the Chapel to pray. Prox cards to use an electronic lock are available in the Parish Office for access during overnight hours. Exposition of the Blessed Sacrament currently takes place every week following the 8:00 AM morning Mass on Monday until 8:00 PM Tuesday evening. The number of hours of exposition may be extended as more adorers commit to a specific hour.

Individual Healing Prayer Sessions

Contact: Terry McKown at 419-475-4348, ext. 112

We are able to offer Healing Prayer Sessions with individuals. Members of our parish have been trained in the ancient holistic approach to health and healing that addresses the physical, emotional, mental and spiritual dimensions of our lives. These prayer ministers seek to focus God’s grace through prayer and the laying on of hands. Individuals can meet with team members at scheduled times after weekend masses or call for an appointment with a member of the Prayer Team. All exchanges between the person and the minister are held confidential.
