The Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults - R.C.I.A.

“The faithful are born anew by Baptism, strengthened by the sacrament of Confirmation and receive in the Eucharist the food of Eternal Life. By means of these sacraments of Christian initiation, they receive in increasing measure the treasures of the divine life and advance toward the perfection of charity.”
RCIA - The Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults
The Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults (RCIA) is for those who are inquiring about the Catholic faith. Those who have not been baptized, those baptized in other Christian denominations, or those baptized but not catechized as Catholics enter into a process where they can learn about Christ within the Catholic Christian community. The group journey is freely structured within the period of the church year. It is conducted by a team and support is provided by an individual sponsor.

Individuals seek out answers at various times during the year. Every person is welcome to begin the process when they are ready.

Formal Group sessions begin on Wednesday, August 31, 2016 in the Parish Center Meeting Room.
Participants and their sponsors will have time to ask their questions and to explore major aspects of the Catholic Church.
Reception of the Sacraments of Initiation will take place at the Easter Vigil on April 15,2017.
The whole formal process will end on the great feast of Pentecost, June 4,2-17.
